VANCOUVER, BC – A long-planned brewery and taproom in East Vancouver has announced that it is open to the public as of 11:00 AM today (July 15th).
Located in a 12,000-square-foot former warehouse space at the corner of East Hastings and Campbell, the Strathcona Beer Company has been founded by a group of partners including Tim Knight, Adrian McInnes, Michael “Fezz” Nazarec and Tim Davis.
Nazarec is the head brewer for the operation, and will be concentrating on brewing “classic, international beer styles.” The core line-up includes Pilsner, Belgian Golden Ale, and British IPA, with a seasonal Radler available for the remainder of the summer, followed by a Smoked Porter in the fall.
The kitchen is being overseen by chef Alex Carswell, with a menu focused on pizzas as well as several sides and snack items.
