MARKHAM, ONOntario Beverage Network reports that the first brewery in the Southern Ontario city of Markham will be opening to the public later this week.

As reported here on CBN earlier this month, Rouge River Brewing has been co-founded by Jordan Mills, a brewer most recently employed at Mill Street Brewery in Toronto.

Opening on Thursday October 27th at 5:00 PM, Rouge River will initially be selling 500 ml bottles of two brands – Autumn Pale Ale and Autumn IPA – out of its storefront at 50 Bullock Drive Unit 8 in Markham.

Going forward, Mills plans to focus on “hop forward American style beers as well as sour/funky beers inspired by Belgian and modern American beers,” and a tap room will join the retail store in the near future.

Rouge River Brewing will be open from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday and Friday, and 12:00 noon to 6:00 PM on Saturday. For more details, see the brewery’s Facebook page.
