Mill Street Releases Summer Brewpub Sampler & Welter Weight Session IPA

TORONTO, ONMill Street Brewery has announced the release of its latest seasonal sampler pack, as well as a new beer inspired by a previous seasonal release.

The Summer Brewpub Sampler six-pack features bottles of two core Mill Street brands – Organic Lager and West Coast IPA – as well as four beers developed at the Mill Street brewpubs, including:

Walker’s Blueberry Wheat (5% abv, 20 IBU) from Toronto, which is described as “a Canadian twist on a classic Belgian fruit beer.”

Stone Mason Ale (4.8% abv, 35 IBU) from Ottawa, an English Bitter that was “created by our Head Brewer to honour his English father’s memory and the first pint they shared.”

Jigger’s Delight (5% abv, 26 IBU) from St. John’s, a California Common style beer that has been “fermented warm
and then aged cold for a unique smoothness.”

Honest Bucker Pale Ale (5.2% abv, 41 IBU) from Calgary, an American-style pale ale that “features Mosaic hops for a tropical aroma and a deliciously dry finish that is as reliable as its namesake.”

Also out now is Welter Weight Session IPA, a 4.8% abv and 50 IBU wheat beer that Mill Street brewmaster Joel Manning describes as follows:

After seeing people’s reaction to the limited edition Rodeo Monk Belgian-style IPA, I brewed Welter Weight Session IPA to offer the same big hop aromas and delicate fruitiness with a reduced overall bitterness. This feisty white session IPA delivers hoppy Belgian-style IPA qualities at a much more reasonable 4.8% abv, making Welter Weight a beer that you can sit on a deck and drink all summer long – and that is exactly what I plan to do!

Welter Weight Session IPA is available in 473 ml cans. For more details on distribution and availability of it and the Summer Brewpub Sampler, check with your local beer or liquor retailers.
