EDMONTON, AB – Alley Kat Brewery has announced the latest in the Back Alley Brews series of limited edition one-off beers.
Bat Out of Helles is a 5% abv loager described as follows:
Munich Helles is a light, bright, full-bodied lager that originated in Munich, Germany. It’s slightly sweet with minimal bitterness and a grainy malt flavour, with a dry, crisp finish. We have highlighted this malt-forward style with 100% Newdale barley from Red Shed Malting (170 km away), and utilized 100% Sterling hops from Northern Girls Hopyard (86 km away) to add the light bitterness that so beautifully compliments the malts. It’s also worth noting that this is the first beer made by us utilizing only one type of malt!
Bat Out of Helles will be officially launching on Thursday July 6th, and will be available in 650 ml bottles at Alley Kat and select retail stores in Alberta.
