CALGARY, AB – Village Brewery has announced details of its fifth annual charity event to raise funds for the Calgary Prostate Cancer Centre, where beer with a special “ballsy” ingredient will be taking centre stage.
Taking place today (Thursday July 6th) at Bottlescrew Bill’s (140 10th Avenue SW, Calgary), the Village NUTRaiser will feature three special cask ales inspired by classic Canadian flavours – Mr. Big, Coffee Crisp, and Maple Syrup – with each cask also containing two cooked bull testicles.
The beers were designed with the help of several celebrity guests – wrestler Bret Hart, Dragons’ Den panellist Brett Wilson , and KooL FM hosts Fraser Tuff & Christy Farrell – who will be in attendance at the event.
The casks will be tapped at 5:00 PM, and each donation of $100 will receive a pint of one of the beers. Donations can be made online in advance, or in person at the event.
