Half Cocked Brewing Launching This Friday in Antigonish County

NORTH GRANT, NSAccording to Maritime Beer Report, a new brewery will be launching this Friday in Nova Scotia’s Antigonish County.

Half Cocked Brewing has been founded by Greg Oicle and Matt Thompson in the small community of North Grant, located just a few minutes northeast of the town of Antigonish.

The launch event for the brewery will be taking place on Friday August 4th at The Townhouse Brewpub & Eatery (76 College St., Antigonish), where five Half Cocked beers will be on tap starting at 4:00 PM. Beers will include the brewery’s four core brands – Cock of the Walk India Black Ale (6.6% abv, 100+ IBU), XPA Extra Pale Ale (6% abv, 40 IBU), Pete’s Sake Blond Ale (4.6% abv, 20 IBU), and Fruit Cocked Grapefruit Pale Ale (5.3% abv) – plus Wait For It IPA (7.6% abv, 98 IBU), the first in a series of one-off IPAs.

The Half Cocked brewery and retail store at 1290 Highway 245 is expected to open to the public soon after the launch event, and will be offering growlers and branded merchandise.
