Steel & Oak Brings Back Weekend Plans Sour Ale and Kaffee Coffee Blonde

NEW WESTMINSTER, BC – Joining the previously announced second edition of SteinbierSteel & Oak Brewing has confirmed the return of two other limited edition beers.

Weekend Plans is a 3.9% abv sour ale that was originally released in May as a one-off, but which proved to be popular enough to be available periodically over the summer. It’s described as follows:

What do you have planned for this weekend? Weekend Plans is back for the last time this year, so that you can at least accurately plan your beverage decisions. Lactobacillus, Oats, and a dose of North West hops make Weekend Plans super refreshing and coming in at 3.9% you can have more than one and not mess up your croquet game.

Also back for a second annual release is Kaffee, a blonde ale infused with coffee from Timbertrain Coffee Roasters. It has the following notes:

The 2017 batch of Kaffee uses coffee sourced from small holder farmers in Ethiopia’s Guji Sidama region. These beans create an aroma of brown sugar, grapefruit, and caramel while Kaffee’s simple malt base provides a crisp finish and a subtle biscuit flavour that interplays well with the cocoa and roasted flavours that the coffee imparts.

Both beers are available now at the Steel & Oak tasting room and store, and in select private liquor stores in Vancouver and area.
