Winterlong Brewing Releases Tragic Vision Barley Wine

WHITEHORSE, YK – Winterlong Brewing has announced the surprise release of a new barrel-aged barley wine.

Tragic Vision (9.5%) spent several months in Port Chikoot whiskey barrels that had previously been used to age batches of Divine Intervention Belgian Tripel and Terror Barrel-Aged Russian Imperial Stout. It’s described as follows:

Tragic Vision is an English-style barleywine, graced with both English ale yeast and East Kent Goldings hops. This strong ale starts off with an explosion of toffee and dark fruit flavours (think raisin and prune), ending with a super smooth whiskey finish. It’s sure to warm you up this fall and winter, making it an excellent dessert beer or nightcap.

Tragic Vision was released yesterday in a limited run of 650 ml bottles available exclusively at the Winterlong retail store.
