TORONTO, ON – Amsterdam Brewery has announced release details for the 2017 vintage of Double Tempest Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout.
The 5th annual edition of the multiple award winning beer is described as follows:
This edition of Double Tempest was aged for 8 months in Heaven Hill’s Bourbon Barrels and features rich flavours full of dense chocolate, deep malt accents and a sweet bourbon oak finish. We encourage sharing this beer with friends or comparing it with past editions that you have stored away.
Double Tempest 2017 will go on sale on Saturday November 25th at 12:00 noon in the retail stores at the main Amsterdam Brewery (45 Esandar Drive) and the Amsterdam Brewhouse (245 Queens Quay West), with a purchase limit of 3 bottles per person. Several other special release beers will also be available at both stores.
A release party will take place at Amsterdam Brewhouse from 12:00 noon to 5:00 PM, featuring samples of Double Tempest and other new and rare beers on tap, gourmet food stations, and live music.
A smaller scale event will be happening at the recently opened Amsterdam Barrel House (87 Laird Drive) – a short walk from the main Brewery – featuring flights of Double Tempest and other new and exclusive beers.
