Steel & Oak Brewing Releases Eleven Boroughs IPA

NEW WESTMINSTER, BC – Steel & Oak Brewing has announced the release of a new beer with a seemingly innocent but possibly controversial name.

Eleven Boroughs IPA (5.5% abv, 44 IBU) takes its name from the eleven main neighbourhoods of New Westminster, including the not commonly recognized North Arm, which is “a weird piece of industrial land that stretches through Stewardson Way until it hits Downtown,” and also the area where Steel & Oak is located.

The beer – which is “hopped with Mosaic, Equanot, Simcoe and Citra for a bright citrus aroma and a juicy tropical fruit flavour” – is available now in cans, growlers, and by the glass in the Steel & Oak store and taproom.
