Bellwoods Brewery Announces Release Plans for February

TORONTO, ON – Bellwoods Brewery has announced details of all of the beer releases it has lined up for February, starting with a pair of new beers debuting this weekend.

Along with the previously announced Barn Owl #12 – “a mixed fermentation, tart and funky pale ale with a huge, dank dry hop” – tomorrow (February 3rd) will also see the release of Black Roses, an Imperial stout brewed with dates, rose water, toasted almonds and pistachios, and described as “a powerhouse with floral and caramelized notes balanced by black licorice and a softy nuttiness.”

Following on February 10th will be Barn Owl #13, a barrel-aged sour ale with raspberry and cranberry, and the return of Goblin Sauce, a heavily hopped double IPA with lupulin powder. (The latter is tentatively scheduled for this date, and will be confirmed on the Bellwoods Instagram feed.)

On February 17th comes the launch of Mog, a new series of wild ales fermented on “second pressing” fruit previously used in the Bellwoods barrel aging program. The first release will be Cherry Mog, which is “light and tart with that characteristic stone fruit flavour that pairs so harmoniously.”

Finally, one of brewery’s first and few lagers, Paper Tiger, will be returning late in the month. Watch Instagram for a date announcement soon.
