GRAVENHURST, ON – TAPS Media – the parent company of TAPS Online, Canadian Brewing Awards, and Ontario Brewing Awards – has announced that it has acquired two major beer festivals from Griffin Events.
SESSION Muskoka and SESSION Toronto were founded by Jed Corbeil and Curt Dunlop of The Griffin Pub in 2009 and 2010 respectively, and have become key events in the annual beer festival circuit in Ontario. SESSION Muskoka is the largest craft beer, music, and food event in its region, and SESSION Toronto is one of the anchor events of Ontario Craft Beer Week each year.
In a statement announcing the purchase, President of TAPS Media, Rob Engman says, “We are so proud to accept the torch and move forward with the great events that Griffin Events have curated so well over the past decade.”
Tickets for the 2018 editions of both SESSION festivals will go on sale on February 14th. For more details, see the full announcement.
