Whistler Brewing Releases Wayside Apricot Wit & Repackages Rescue Ale

WHISTLER, BC – Whistler Brewing has announced the release of a new seasonal beer, and the launch of a new package for another brand.

Wayside Apricot Wit (5% abv, 15 IBU) has been released for the spring and summer months, and is described as follows:

Vibrant apricot adds a little sun to this cloudy Belgian-style wheat ale. Our Wayside Wit is crisp, lively and unfiltered with exceptional balance.

Wayside is available now in 4-packs of 330 ml bottles at the brewery, select government and private liquor stores in British Columbia, and select retailers in Alberta.

Rescue Ale (4.6% abv, 42 IBU) was released last summer as a seasonal beer in 650 ml bottles, but is now a core brand that has shifted to 6-packs of 330 ml bottles. It has the following tasting notes:

Rescue Ale contains a pleasant and aromatic blend of tropical passion fruit, thanks to the addition of Citra hops, which contributes an abundance of grapefruit, pineapple, gooseberry and juicy citrus flavours. Idaho 7 hops lends to the background bitterness. This well crafted light amber pale ale finishes clean, is easy to drink and is well balanced with a medium hop aftertaste.

Rescue Ale is available throughout British Columbia and Alberta. $1 from each 6-pack sold in April will be donated to the BC SPCA, dropping to 25 cents per pack in May onward.
