Prairie Sun Brewery Planning Move to Central Saskatoon

SASKATOON, SK – Prairie Sun Brewery has announced that is planning to move into a new building being  constructed later this year on Broadway Avenue in central Saskatoon.

According to a Facebook post from co-owner Heather Williams, the new location is being built on the former site of Farnham Block, an historic building that was home to a much-loved pub and community hub called Lydia’s before it was demolished in 2015.

Williams notes that Prairie Sun has been looking for a suitable location on Broadway for the past 6 years, and plans to operate as a full service family-friendly restaurant and brewery, as well as continuing to host community meetings, fundraisers, and other events.

Assuming the new facility is approved by the city, the new Prairie Sun is expected to open next winter, at which point the current location will close.
