The Toronto East Brewery Collective Announces Formation & Launch Event

TORONTO, ON – A group of 10 breweries in Toronto’s east end have announced the formation of an “organizing body for events and initiatives benefiting the collective’s members as well as the community at large.”

The Toronto East Brewery Collective has been founded by Brunswick Bierworks, Common Good Brewing, Eastbound Brewing, Godspeed Brewery, Left Field Brewery, Louis Cifer Brew Works, Muddy York Brewing, Radical Road Brewing, Rorschach Brewing, and Saulter Street Brewery.

“There are so many great breweries in the east end,” says Eastbound Brewing’s Dave Watson in a statement, “and while we are competitors individually, we are all friendly with each other and share similar goals and values. The idea of banding together to accomplish things we couldn’t otherwise do on our own seemed like a good idea.”

The first event to be presented by the Collective will be Brewed in the East, a multi-venue tap takeover taking place on Thursday June 14th at The Wren (1382 Danforth Ave.), The Only (972 Danforth Ave.), and Bar Hop Session (681 Danforth Ave.). Each location will be pouring a different selection of “new, exclusive, and rare beers” from all 10 member breweries.
