Spindrift Brewing Releases Free Trade American Pale Ale

DARTMOUTH, NS – Spindrift Brewing has announced the release of a new beer that was both inspired and delayed by the recent trade disputes between Canada and the United States.

Free Trade American Pale Ale (5.5% abv, 40 IBU) was originally planned to be released on October 1st, but can shortages due to U.S. tariffs on aluminum and steel meant that it wasn’t packaged until late last week.

According to Atlantic Canada Beer Blog, it’s described as follows:

A deep gold and moderately carbonated brew made with a grist of Pilsner, Wheat and Crystal malts and hopped with Magnum, Cascade, and Simcoe hops. Look for pine, grapefruit and floral notes from the hops balanced against a solid malt backbone.

Free Trade is available now at Spindrift, and starting this week at select NSLC locations in Nova Scotia.
