NANAIMO, BC – Beer writer Stephen Beaumont has tipped us off that the previously announced closure of Fat Cat Brewery was premature, and the brewery will be remaining open, at least for the time being.
In an email to Beaumont, brewery Operations Manager Bunny Goodman says that Fat Cat has worked out new terms with their landlord that will allow them to remain in operation on a month-to-month basis.
She also notes that they are still looking to sell the brewery, and are hoping to find a buyer. But in the meantime, Fat Cat beers will continue to be produced for the forseeable future.
