Northampton Brewery Gets Gov't Funding, Plans Export & Expansion

picaroons_logoFREDERICTON, NB – The CBC reports that Northampton Brewery has received $30,000 in funding from the provincial government that it intends to put towards equipment and upgrades that will allow them to start exporting their Picaroons beers.

Co-owner Sean Dunbar tells the CBC that the brewery has just shipped a small amount of beer to several private liquor stores in Nova Scotia to test the market, and hopes to get listings at the NSLC this fall.

They will also be adding new tanks and performing brewery upgrades over the winter that will allow them to expand their output, with hopes of moving into other export markets starting in the new year. These expansions also include a retail outlet to open in downtown Fredericton later this year.
