Mill Street Brewery Signs Partnership with Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest

TORONTO & OTTAWA, ONCisco Ottawa Bluesfest officials have announced a partnership agreement with Toronto’s Mill Sreet Brewery that will give Mill Street exclusive pouring rights at the acclaimed music festival for three years, starting with next year’s edition in July, 2010.

As part of the agreement, there will be a temporary Mill Street Pub established on site, which will offer up to eight of the brewery’s beers in a pub-like atmosphere.

In a press release, Bluesfest executive director Mark Monahan stated: “Every now and again a partnership opportunity comes along that you know will add to the overall festival experience. We’re confident that Bluesfest attendees will embrace the opportunity to enjoy the variety of quality products Mill Street will offer on site.”

  1. Just speculation, but I would guess it’s simply due to the fact that Beau’s is a small brewery relative to Mill Street. I expect that wasn’t a cheap contract, so there are probably very few breweries in Ontario that could afford the deal. Kudos to Bluesfest for considering a craft brewery – even if it’s not a local one – instead of going for one of the big three.
