CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – The Guardian newspaper reports that Gahan House Pub & Brewery, Price Edward Island’s only brewpub and brewery, has opened a new production and bottling plant on Walker Drive in Charlottetown.
Known as Gahan Brewery, the new facility will concentrate primarily on production of Sir John A’s Honey Wheat and Island Red, the top selling products in the Gahan product line. 500 ml bottles of both brands are now available at 10 PEILCC outlets across PEI, and distribution to other provinces is being considered for the future.
The original brewpub on Sydney Street will remain in operation, with the article reporting that brewing there “will focus on product innovation and brand development, including the creation of new flavours, a line of seasonal beers, and specialty products.”
