HALIFAX, NS – In honour of the 2011 Canada Winter Games taking place February 11th to 27th in Halifax, Garrison Brewing is releasing a three new beers this week, one on each day leading up to the opening of the Games:

Weds, Feb. 9th – Pils – This premium European lager draws inspiration from several classic styles by blending Czech Saaz hops, German lager yeast and Bluenose spirit!

Thurs, Feb. 10th – Ol’ Fog Burner – Our biggest beer yet at 11.3% alc/vol, this barley wine is tawny copper in colour with a sweet spiciness and mellow aromas of fruit and toffee.

Fri, Feb. 11th – Ol’ Fog Burner (Barrel-Aged) – A limited release of 500 bottles of 2010 Ol’ Fog Burner aged 11 months in oak barrels from Glenora Distillery. Vanilla, caramel and whisky notes offer a true taste of the Highlands.
