VICTORIA, BC – Driftwood Brewery has just released Cuvée D’Hiver, a new seasonal saison brewed using local barley:
Brewed entirely with barley grown and malted on the Saanich Peninsula by artisan maltster Mike Doehnel. This “winter batch” is revealed by one of the most unique Belgian yeast strains in existence. The resulting ale is a pale, golden effervescent beer with a fruity nose balanced with a sweet malt profile and tangy finish. It is the flavor of the sun, the rain and the earth of Vancouver Island.
Driftwood Cuvée D’Hiver is available now in 650 ml bottles at select retail outlets in and around Victoria and Vancouver. A few casks have also been produced, to be released at various pubs in coming weeks.
