Howe Sound Continues Ales For Change Series With Rockfish Red

SQUAMISH, BCHowe Sound Brewing has released the second beer in Ales For Change, a series of limited edition beers launched last fall to assist fundraising activities in different communities.

Rockfish Red Ale was brewed in support of the Canadian Parks & Wilderness Society (CPAWS), with $1 from every 1 litre bottle sold to be donated to the cause.

From the press release:

Rockfish Red has a slight citrus note and is brewed with Chinook, Cascade and Mount Hood hops with Munich, Caramalt, chocolate and roasted barley. A local ale which is artisan brewed for the wild at heart and the protection of the wild in B.C.

Rockfish Red Ale will be available for the next few months in private liquor stores throughout Vancouver and Vancouver Island, as well as at the Hose Sound brewpub.

UPDATE: A launch party for Rockfish Red Ale will be taking place on Tuesday, March 15th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at St. Augustine’s in Vancouver. See the event page on Facebook for more details.
