McAuslan Adds St. Ambroise IPA to Specialty Rotation

MONTREAL, QCMcAuslan Brewing has announced the upcoming release of St. Ambroise India Pale Ale, a new addition to their portfolio of limited edition specialty beers.

Joining a rotation that also includes St. Ambroise Scotch Ale, Framboise, Pumpkin Ale, Imperial Stout and Vintage Ale, the new beer is described as follows:

India Pale Ales were brewed in the 19th century with long sea travel in clipper ships across the equator to India in mind. In order to endure these rigours, the beers were high in alcohol and brewed with plenty of hops. The hops provided a spicy bitterness balancing the malt and maintaining the quality of the ale through the natural antibacterial properties of hops. McAuslan has brewed a classic IPA using a blend of pale and specialty malts giving the beer a New World Twist.

McAuslan St. Ambroise India Pale Ale will be available soon in Quebec, Nova Scotia, Alberta, BC and Ontario (on draught only in the latter).

  1. Dear Brewmaster,

A wonderful beer for good reason! It doesn’t taste anything like any other microbrewed IPA beer I’ve tried on the west coast of North America. You sure you have the right label on this?
