CALGARY, AB – Wild Rose Brewery has released a Kolsch as their latest seasonal brew.
Wild Rose Kolsch has a delicate fruitiness and a prominent, but not extreme hoppiness. Bright straw-yellow in colour, Kolsch are often mistaken for lagers. In fact, this beer style is an ale which is top fermented at a relatively warm temperature and then lagered, or aged, at a cooler temperature for about eight weeks.
Officially launched last week at the brewery with cask events on July 7th and 8th, Wild Rose Kolsch is now available exclusively on draught at several establishments in and around Calgary, as well as at the taproom at the brewery.
