Gananoque Brewing Launches In Its Namesake Town

GANANOQUE, ON – The small Ontario town Gananoque, located roughly 20 minutes east of Kingston just off of Highway 401, now has its own brewery.

Gananoque Brewing Company was launched by owner Bruce Davis in late May, and is offering two brands – Naughty Otter Lager and Train Wreck Strong Ale – that are currently being brewed under contract at Niagara’s Best Brewery while plans come together for a brewing facility in Gananoque.

Naughty Otter Lager is described in the brewery’s promotional material as a “summertime patio beer: pale, crisp, fun and refreshing,” while Train Wreck Strong Ale is called “a radically different super-hopped beer that is unfiltered and distinctive.”

Both beers are available now at a number of bars and restaurants in Gananoque and surrounding area.

  1. Having a Naughty otter on the patio of Muskie Jakes after taking the 1000 islands cruise. Great way to spend the summer. Lovely beer
