PEI’s Barnone Brewery Prepares To Launch

ROSE VALLEY, PE – Charlottetown newspaper The Guardian reports that Prince Edward Island will soon be getting a new microbrewery.

Founded by father and son team Hughie and Don Campbell, Barnone Brewery had a soft launch at this past weekend’s PEI Beer Festival, where they were given a special one-day license to pour three beers – Summer Sessions, Pale Ale and IPA – all made using barley and hops grown on the Campbell’s farm. (Reviews of the beers have been posted on the PEI Beer Guy blog.)

Several details still need to be worked out before Barnone is fully launched, but the Campbells hope to have their beer on draught in bars and restaurants across the Island by early winter, followed by on-site sampling and growler sales by next spring.
