BRAMPTON, ON – Hop City Brewing has announced the release of its flagship beer, Barking Squirrel Lager, in cans for the first time.
Previously available exclusively on draught at bars and restaurants throughout Ontario for the last two years, Barking Squirrel is the first Hop City beer to be offered for retail sales. The beer is described as an “amber lager with a medium body and subtle hop aroma, perfectly balanced by roasty toasty caramel malts”.
Barking Squirrel Lager is available now at select LCBO outlets across the province. The 473 ml single cans retail for $2.65 each.
It would be nice when Barking Squirrel is on sale at the LCBO, that there would be stock in the stores. I came across barking Squirrel, tried it, and it was in my top ten, but not anymore, as no LCBO seems to be restocking it around the Cambridge/Kitchener region. If it is THAT popular that it is selling out quickly, one would think that they would stock MORE. Oh well, at least there are other beers out there that perhaps would enjoy the revenue.
