Beer List & Preview Events Announced For Cask Days 2011

TORONTO, ON – Since its launch in 2005 as a small one-day event at barVolo, the annual Cask Days festival has become one of Toronto’s most anticipated beer events. This year, a move to a much larger venue – Hart House on the University of Toronto campus – has allowed organizers to increase both the size and the scope of the event, resulting in the largest cask ale event ever held in Canada, and perhaps in North America.

According to a list posted on the Cask Days website, the two tasting sessions being held on Sunday October 30th will feature more than 70 beers from craft breweries in six provinces – Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia – as well as several ales from Fuller’s Brewery of London, UK.

In addition, the week leading up to the main festival will feature of series of cask ale events at barVolo, including:

  • Monday October 24th to Thursday October 27th: Pre-Cask Days 2011
Featuring a rotating selection of traditional English-style cask ales from barVolo’s in-house nanobrewery, House Ales, and other local craft breweries.
  • Friday October 28th: Fuller’s Cask Takeover
Premier Brands presents six Fuller’s beers on cask, with some making their North American debut.
  • Saturday October 29th: Cask Days Seminars & Monthly CASK! Social
Cask Days and CASK! Toronto present three informative cask ale seminars, followed by an informal social featuring cask beers from House Ales.
