EDMONTON, AB – Following on the popularity of Red Dragon Double IPA, released in September as part of Alley Kat Brewing‘s Big Bottle Series of limited edition beers, the brewery is getting ready to launch a similarly hop-forward follow-up.
Blue Dragon Double IPA – brewed using Columbus hops, versus the Simcoe hops used for Red Dragon – is described as follows:
The Blue Dragon is dark gold with subtle flavours of citrus & tropical fruit and resin that backs lots of piney hop flavour and an in-your-face bitterness. At 100+ IBUs and single hopped with Columbus, there is no doubt this brew is intended for hop heads.
Also part of the Big Bottle Series, Blue Dragon will be available starting this Friday, November 18th at the brewery and select liquor stores and bars in Alberta.
