Sawdust City Brewing Officially Launches

TORONTO, ON – After serving several one-off beers at events through the late summer and fall, Sawdust City Brewing Co. is being officially launched this weekend.

Golden Beach Pale Wheat is the first of five beers to be offered by Sawdust City owners Rob Engman and Karla Dudley (who are also publishers of TAPS Magazine) and brewmaster Sam Corbeil. It’s described as follows:

With a sunshine yellow colour and the hazy hue of long August afternoon, this insanely drinkable American Wheat Ale is Summer personified (or beerified as it may be). Loaded with juicy, lemony citrus hop flavours and the aroma of freshly cut grass, each sip from this delicious ale will transport you back to those long, lazy days of summer.

Launch parties for Golden Beach Pale Wheat will be taking place tonight (Friday, November 18th) at The Only Cafe in Toronto and the Griffin Gastropub in Bracebridge. It will also be available on tap at several Toronto pubs including Burger Bar, C’est What, barVolo and others.

Launches of the other four Sawdust City beers will follow in coming months, and each will be available for a limited time while they are being brewed under contract at Niagara College Teaching Brewery. All five brands will then go into regular production when the full-scale Sawdust City Brewery opens in Gravenhurst later in 2012.
