Phillips/Garrison Mash-Up Baltic Porter Now Available

VICTORIA, BC – As first announced last November, Phillips Brewing of Victoria and Garrison Brewing of Halifax are continuing the series of collaborative beers that they started earlier in 2011 with their Mash-Up Belgian IPA, which was brewed and released in Halifax.

The second beer in the series, Mash-Up Baltic Porter, was brewed in November when Garrison brew master Daniel Girard visited the Phillips facility in Victoria, and was released this week in British Columbia.

Phillips has provided the following description of the beer:

The Mash-Up Baltic Porter weighs in at 8% and pours a deep earthy brown colour.  The infusion of fresh figs endows the beer with a bold fruity sweetness your palate will appreciate, with subtle hints of black licorice adding a delicate richness to the aroma and body.

Phillips/Garrison Mash-Up Baltic Porter is available now in select private liquor stores on Vancouver Island and the lower mainland.
