INVERMERE, BC – The Invermere Valley Echo reports that a new brewery will soon be operating in Invermere, a small community in the Columbia Valley in eastern British Columbia near the Alberta border.
Arrowhead Brewing is being started by two couples – Leanne & Shawn Tegart and Michelle & Jared Babich – with help from consultant Larry Kerwin, currently brewmaster at Village Brewery in Calgary.
The brewery is currently under construction, and recipes are being developed for Arrowhead’s two flagship beers, a blonde and a dark ale. Seasonal brews will also be offered, and the brewery plans to use locally grown and sourced ingredients as often as possible.
Arrowhead’s first batches of beer should be available on draught by the May long weekend. A canning or bottling line is planned to follow by late summer.
