VERNON, BC – Okanagan Spring Brewery has announced the launch of Okanagan Spring Summer Weizen, a new seasonal brew that is described as follows:
An unfiltered wheat ale that pours to a cloudy, golden amber colour and features a subtle, yet refreshing hint of apricot, Summer Weizen is the latest new product introduction from Brewmaster Stefan Tobler. Brewed in limited run batches, Tobler drew from the fruitful history of the Southern Okanagan to create this deliciously original recipe that pairs perfectly with all things summer. “I was thrilled for the opportunity to draw on inspiration of the bountiful orchards in our very own backyard,” comments Tobler. “The result is a clean, flavourful combination of our Bavarian and Okanagan roots that makes for a remarkably refreshing seasonal beer.”
Summer Weizen will be available in six packs of 341 ml bottles in BC, Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, as well as on draught in BC and Alberta. It is also featured in the new summer edition of the Okanagan Spring Craft Variety Pack, which includes three bottles each of 1516 Bavarian Lager, Anniversary Hopped Lager, Pale Ale and Summer Weizen.
