Double Trouble Hops & Robbers IPA About to Hit LCBO Shelves

TORONTO, ON – As announced here on CBN back in March, Double Trouble Brewing had its flagship Hops & Robbers IPA approved for sale via the LCBO, and while the Victoria Day target for getting it onto store shelves was missed, it’s now in the warehouse and about to start rolling out to stores this week.

Described as “a golden IPA with an exceptionally rich and complex character,” Hops & Robbers was developed for Double Trouble owners Claude Lefebvre and Nathan Dunsmoor by brewmaster Paul Dickey of Cheshire Valley Brewing. It was launched this part winter on draught in a handful of pubs in Toronto and area, and will now be available at the LCBO in 473 ml cans which will retail for $2.75.

Double Trouble has contracted Wellington Brewery to serve as a brewing location for the Ontario release, and the company is negotiating with breweries in other provinces to do the same, essentially allowing them to build towards a national craft beer brand without having their own brewing facility. More details on this unique arrangement will be posted here on CBN as the deals are confirmed and announced.
