BARRIE, ON – Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery has announced the upcoming release of BNL Strong Beer, which was brewed earlier this week in collaboration with legendary Canadian rock-pop band Barenaked Ladies.
Developed and brewed with full participation of members of the band, with artwork designed by BNL keyboardist Kevin Hearn, the beer is described as “a fudge-y Imperial Chocolate stout with an 11% ABV that really lives up to its name.”
BNL Strong Beer is expected to be released in time for the band’s “Symphony Barenaked” tour, which kicks off in Vancouver on November 30th, and will see them playing shows from coast to coast with local symphony orchestras, performing holiday songs and BNL favourites.
BNL Strong Beer will be available in 750 ml bottles, with distribution confirmed for liquor retailers in Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick, and negotiations underway for British Columbia.
