VICTORIA, BC – Phillips Brewing has announced the release of two strong seasonal brews for the winter months, Instigator Doppelbock & Trainwreck Barley Wine.
Instigator was last available in 2010, and is described as having “complex character with toasted flavours, rich aromas, a deep hue and a full body.”
Trainwreck is returning for a third consecutive year, although this year’s vintage is the first to be aged in bourbon barrels. It is “lightly carbonated and full of rich malt sweetness to warm you from the inside out.”
Both beers are available now in 650 ml bottles at select private liquor stores in British Columbia, as well as at the Phillips retail store, where there will be a free tasting event tomorrow (Wednesday December 5th) from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
