POWELL RIVER, BC – Townsite Brewing has announced details of their latest limited edition seasonal brew, the winter-themed Biere d’Hiver:
For this beer, Brewmaster Cedric Dauchot made 60kg of Candi Sugar by bringing sugar & water up to 300 degrees and then added this sugar to the boil. Subtly spiced with coriander, star anise & Cedric’s hand-made Candi Sugar, this mother of a brown ale tastes of plums, currants and caramel. At 7.5% ABV, it is the perfect accompaniment to a night by the fire with a good book.
Townsite Biere d’Hiver will be released in mid-December, and will be available in 650 ml bottles at the Townsite retail store and select private liquor stores in BC.
