TORONTO, ON – After several months of rumours and speculation, Ontario’s newest brewery is getting set to officially debut.

Radical Road Brewing is a new project from Simon Da Costa and Jon Hodd, two brewers at Black Oak Brewing. Operating out of the Black Oak facility, Radical Road appears to be focused on big and bold beers – or at least that’s the impression given by the brewery’s first release.

Radical Road Canny Man is a 9.1% Wee Heavy style Scotch ale that has been aged in imported whisky barrels for 71 days. More details, including tasting notes, were posted by beer writer Jordan St. John to his St. John’s Wort blog earlier this week.

Canny Man is being released in a limited run of 750 ml corked and caged bottles, each ornately packaged with a tissue paper wrapping and embossed neck tags. It will be available soon at select LCBO outlets.
