LONDON, ON – After more than a decade of having no small brewery to call its own, things will soon be changing for the city of London, Ontario, as Forked River Brewing has announced plans to open there this spring.

Founded by London residents and award winning home brewers David Reed, Andrew Peters and Steve Nazarian, Forked River will be setting up shop in a 3000 square foot space at 45 Pacific Court in London. Opening with a 1000 litre brewhouse and 4400 litre fermentation capacity, the brewery will concentrate on producing draught beer for the London and area market.

Forked River will launch with two flagship brands – Capital Blonde (“an easy-drinking, balanced blonde ale full of malt and hop flavour”) and Riptide Rye (“a hop-forward pale ale brewed with Canadian prairie malt”) – and will also offer seasonal and one-off beers throughout the year.

The brewing facility will feature a tasting room for on-site samplings of cask ales, barrel-aged beers, and other specialty brews; and a retail shop selling bottles, growlers and kegs of Forked River brands.
