Mill Street Opening The Beer Hall in Toronto’s Distillery District This Spring

TORONTO, ON – The long-planned expansion of the Mill Street Brewpub in Toronto’s Distillery District is almost complete, and the additional area is set to open soon with a distinct name and concept.

Mill Street The Beer Hall will be connected to the Brewpub, but will have many differences from the original establishment, starting with a stand-alone food program overseen by Chef Elizabeth Rivasplata (previously Chef de Cuisine at FRANK) that will feature sharing plates and a charcuterie station.

Even more notable is the inclusion of a still that will be used to produce bierschnaps from three of Mill Street’s own beers. This will be the only regularly operating bierschnaps still in Canada, and will mark the return of distilling to the Distillery District for the first time in decades.

According to Mill Street co-founder Steve Abrams, the Mill Street Beer Hall is aiming for a soft opening sometime in April, with a grand opening to follow before the Victoria Day long weekend.
