CALGARY, AB – Wild Rose Brewery has announced the release of a new summer seasonal brewed in a style that is rarely seen in North America.
Wild Rose Gose Rider is a Gose, a style of wheat beer made with coriander and salt that is native to Northern Germany. “Unable to find any commercial examples we brewed a test batch in an attempt to understand how the unique ingredients would work together,” said Brian Smith, Director of Brewing Operations at Wild Rose. “The results were so positive that Gose was tabbed to be our summer seasonal release.”
Described as being “extremely refreshing” with a “slight sourness and higher carbonation level (that) complement the ingredients,” Gose Rider was launched by the brewery last week. It’s available now in 650 ml bottles at the Wild Rose taproom & retail store and at select retailers in Alberta, and will remain in production until August.
