BARRIE, ON – There are still a few months of construction and other preparations to get through, but if all goes as planned, Barnstormer Brewing should be up and running later this year as the first brewpub in Barrie, Ontario.
Founded by business partners Dustin Norlund and Akos Tozser, Barnstormer is planned to be “the premier craft beer and artisan pizza destination in the Simcoe Muskoka region.”
Both the logo and name of the brewery show an influence of classic aviation, and that influence extends to the beers that longtime homebrewer Norlund is planning to brew on-site, with names such as Landing Light Lager, Billy Bishop Brown and Flight Delay IPA. Complementing these beers will be a selection of pizzas, sandwiches, wings and salads.
The progress of Barnstormer Brewing can be followed via the “Tower Talk” blog on the brewery website, as well as the Barnstormer Facebook page and Twitter feed.
