OTTAWA, ONThe Wellington Gastropub, a gourmet bistro-pub and craft beer bar in Ottawa, has announced the launch of its own on-site nanobrewery.

Branded as Stock Pot Ales, the beers are being brewed in 100 litre batches, and will be featured on tap alongside the rotating selection other Ontario craft beers and ciders that Wellington has become well known for.

The first Stock Pot Ales offering is Eddie da Veto IPA, a 6.4% ale made with Centennial, Galaxy and Cascade hops, Caramel and Munich malts, and dry-hopped with Cascade, Fuggles and Golding. It was tapped last night in time for the Wellington Record Club, a monthly event where guests can enjoy beer and nibbles while listing to a classic album on audiophile vinyl over a high-end stereo system.
