CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Several months after the Prince Edward Island Liquor Control Commission (PEILCC) announced that it was soliciting proposals for a new beer festival to replace the two competing events from 2012, details have been announced for the newly revamped Prince Edward Island Beer Festival.

Presented by the PEI Brewing Company – the organizers of last year’s PEI International Beer Festival – the Festival will take place on September 6th and 7th, 2013 at the Charlottetown Event Grounds. Part of the Fall Flavours Festival, a series of culinary events taking place across PEI throughout the month of September, the Festival will feature over 75 beers from breweries throughout the Maritimes and elsewhere in North America and Europe, as well as food pairings and entertainment.

The Festival will feature three tasting sessions – one on Friday and two on Saturday – with ticket prices ranging from $30-$40 for regular admission to $99 for VIP packages. $20 “late night” tickets for the post-tasting concerts are also available.

Tickets can be ordered now on the PEI Beer Festival website, and more information on the event can be found there as well as on the Festival’s Facebook page and Twitter feed.
