CALGARY, AB – After an initial announcement in April, and a sneak peek of their three flagship brands in June, the first batch of beers from Calgary’s Tool Shed Brewing are showing up this week on shelves and in fridges at select retail stores, bars and restaurants in Alberta.

Currently being brewed under contract at Dead Frog Brewery in BC, the trio of launch beers from Tool Shed include the following:

Star Cheek IPA (6.2% abv): This India Pale Ale is hoppy, bold and citrusy, yet clean and crisp. Higher in alcohol yet still remarkably balanced. These hops don’t smack you in the face, they tempt you to experience their complex profile.

Red Rage (5.6% abv): The beer itself is dark red, roasty like coffee, toasty like fresh bread and makes your mouth water for more. We put just enough hops in to remind you what they’re capable of. This ale is medium boded and easy to drink.

People Skills (5.2% abv): Our session-able cream ale is light, refreshing and tries to get along with everybody. This smooth, lightly hopped ale offers beautiful mouthfeel and a golden, crystal clear appearance. It’s a real, refreshing crowd pleaser.

A launch party for Tool Shed will take place on Wednesday August 21st from 5:30 PM to close at National Beerhall (550 17th Ave. SW, Calgary). For more details on other places to find the beers, see the Tool Shed website, Facebook page and Twitter feed.
