CARNARVON, ON – The Minden Times reports that the tiny community of Carnarvon, Ontario will soon be home to the first craft brewery in Haliburton County.
Boshkung Brewing, which is named after a nearby lake, will be opening in the lower level of the new location of Rhubarb, a restaurant owned by Terri Mathews and Chris Carl that will be moving from Eagle Lake into the building currently occupied by casual restaurant and bar That Place in Carnarvon.
Overseeing the brewery will be Blake Paton, a friend of Carl’s who is also an avid homebrewer.
Few details have been released, but if all goes as scheduled, both Rhurbarb and Boshkung will be opening to the pubic on New Year’s Eve.
