OTTAWA, ON – Ottawa beer lovers who also enjoy running and supporting charities will have the opportunity to do all three at a new event planned for next month.
The Ottawa Beer Run is a brewery-to-brewery charity run taking place on Sunday October 20th on the streets and in the breweries of Ottawa. Starting at 11:00 AM at Mill Street Brew Pub, 500 runners will head out on a 13.5 km course that will include stops and sampling at Beyond The Pale Brewing, Clocktower Brew Pub Westboro and Kichesippi Beer Co., before reaching the finish line at Big Rig Brewery & Restaurant.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to Candlelighters, a non-profit organization that enriches the lives of children and their families coping with childhood cancer.
