HALIFAX, NSGarrison Brewing has announced the release of this year’s edition of an annual ale that celebrates the local hops harvest.

3 Fields Harvest Ale – so named because it was first brewed in 2010 using fresh hops from three local farms – is a 6.3% abv strong pale ale that now features contributions from four Nova Scotia hops farms: Meander River Farm and Wentworth Creek Farm in Ashdale, Fiddle Hop Farms in Glenholme, and Ross Farm Museum in New Ross. Hop varieties used include Nugget, Newport, Galena, Cascade, Zeus, Centennial and  Brewers Gold, all of which combine to produce a complex flavour profile.

The 2013 vintage of 3 Fields Harvest Ale was officially released last week in a limited run of 500 ml bottles. It will be available at all private liquor stores in Nova Scotia, select NSLC and ANBL locations, and at the Garrison retail store while supplies last.
