PETERBOROUGH, ON – The Publican House Brewery has announced the launch of a new partnership with a local butcher shop and a nearby farm to produce pork that they hope will have a hint of beer in its flavour.
As reported in the Peterborough Examiner, ten pigs at Hawthorne Ridge Farm have been fed the grain mash used to produce Publican’s Square Nail Pale Ale. Tthe first two to be slaughtered were recently delivered to Primal Cuts, a butcher shop in Peterborough that specializes in locally-sourced products.
To further promote the project, the brewery will be hosting a Square Nail Pig Roast on November 16th, featuring a live band, Publican House beer, and plenty of pork. Tickets will be available starting November 4th at the Publican House Brewery and Primal Cuts.
